  3. What is Blue Light?
    1. Blue light has a shorter wavelength of 380nm to 500nm compared with red light that has a wavelength varying between 635nm to 700nm. Blue light on its own is not bad, however, we are overexposed to blue light on a daily basis from unnatural sources, such as smart devices and this is concerning. In balanced quantities blue light can help us stay alert, but when we are overexposed to blue light it can make us stressed, both mentally and physically. Blue light can have such a strong impact on our physical health that it inhibits melatonin production, making it merely impossible to sleep after engaging with blue light prior to sleeping.
  4. When will I see results?
    1. It is difficult to say with certainty because it depends on what your goal is and what your starting point is. However, most studies find that as little as one session can make a difference with the right dose, e.g. Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness is one of the places where fast results are likely to happen. However, the best strategy is to use the therapy daily and maybe even twice a day until the wanted effect has been reached. Hereafter, you can decrease the frequency for maintenance, here around once a day will be beneficial.
  5. Is it safe to use Red Light Therapy?
    1. Red Light Therapy is safe using proper dosages, especially when LEDs are used as the medium (as we do with our panels) instead of Lasers. Since laser might be too concentrated causing tissue damage especially for your eyes. The light used here is still intense, however, not as concentrated and these wavelengths are very healthy for our eyes. It should however be noted that this is therapy and too much of anything might be damaging, so listen to your body,
  6. How often can I use Red Light Therapy?
    1. We do not know of a limit to the use of Red Light Therapy yet, however, as with blue light, red light can probably also be overdone, so unless you are using it for treating a condition, one should probably not do more than 2 sessions per day at the same spot. It is a therapy, so use common sense and listen to your body. The use of these devices is on your own responsibility.
  7. How long is a normal Red Light Therapy session?
    1. The time of a session can vary greatly, and it is not to say exactly what the ideal time is for you, because it depends on among opther things your purpose and skin type. However, research have shown that the enery alone is not enough the duration of exposure is also important, therefore 1 J/CM2 given over 1 or 5 minutes will promote different effects. However, 15-20 minutes is often referred to as a good duration. It is very difficult to say what is optimal, however, studies on mitocondria suggest that as 3 J/CM² could be the sweetspot, this refers to the energy the cell receives, thus you need a higher exposure on your skin since it filters between 80 and 95% of the "energy". Alot of our users use the The Enthusiast from 40-50 cm 10 minutes from the front and 10 minutes from the back. It should be noted that too long can give adverse effect so do not overdo it.
  8. Are there any risks in using Red Light Therapy?
    1. Today there are no known risks of using the therapy, however, research suggest that too much can be damageing especially if you do not have a specific need. Further, it is therapy and too much of most things are likely to cause problems, so do listen to your body and use common sense.
